The Locations are facilities or places of business which are the stops visited on Trips. To view existing Locations, from the top menu bar click Locations; the form displays a list of current locations.
Set Filter
This list can be filtered to show Locations with specific characteristics; click Set Filter and use the form displayed to filter the list of Locations.
Clear Filter
If a filter has been set, click Clear Filter to remove the filter and see all Locations.
Account | The account number provided by another application. This field is not shown if the configuration parameter to create automatic account codes is set. |
Location Name | The name of the business to be selected. |
City | The city of the locations to be selected. |
State | The state of the locations to be selected. |
Category | Select the location category. This is shown only if location categories are enabled. |
New Location
To create a new Location, click New Location and in the form enter the Location Name and address information.
There can be only one location for any given location code. If the user provides locations codes, they must be unique for each location. If the user does not provide location codes, the Location Name and/or Last Name (depending on configuration parameters), the Address, and the ZIP code must be unique for each location.
Account | A user specified field with a code or account number provided by another application. This field is not shown if the configuration parameter to create automatic account codes is set. |
Location Name | The name of business. This field is shown when the when the configuration parameter to show location names is set. |
Address 1 | The first line of the delivery address. This field is required. |
Address 2 | The second line of the delivery address. |
City | The delivery city. This field is required. |
State | The delivery state. This field is required. |
ZIP Code | The delivery ZIP code. This field is required. |
Admin Group | Use the drop down to select an Admin Group. |
Category | Use the drop down to select a Location Category. |
Latitude (Y) | The latitude of the delivery address. See below. |
Longitude (X) | The longitude of the delivery address. See below. |
Precision | The precision of the geocoding. This field cannot be set or changed. |
Effective Date | The date the location data was last changed. This field cannot be set or changed. |
Is Facility | When checked, this location is a company location (depot, office or branch), a location where trips begin and end, or a location where vehicles are parked overnight. |
The earth position (latitude and longitude) is determined from the address entered. Click the Geocode From Address button to determine the position. The earth position also can be set by clicking the location on the map.

This tab contains contact information for this location.

This tab contains the mailing (not delivery) address for this location.

Assignment Rules
This tab contains the characteristics or skills that are used to select the correct Vehicle during the manual and optimized assignment processes. When checked, this tag applies to this Location.
Time Windows
This tab contains time windows indicating when a Vehicle may visit this Location.
Time windows may be identified as “hard” indicating the driver must arrive and depart within the time window, or “soft” where the driver must arrive within the time window but may depart at any time.
Window Open | The earliest time of day when a vehicle may arrive at this location. |
Window Close | If this is a hard time window, this the time that a vehicle must leave this location. If this is a soft time window, this is the latest time that a vehicle may arrive at this location. |
Soft Window | If checked, the time windows is soft. If not checked, the time window is hard. |
Edit
To edit an existing Location, click Edit in the Actions column on the row of the Location. A form is displayed to change the information which is the same as the one used to create a New Location. Click OK to save changes or Delete to delete the Location.
